Maze Runner: The Death Cure Review
This movie is a trilogy and the last series of The Maze Runner. Which the first movie released in 2014 (The Maze Runner) and the sequel movie in 2015 (The Maze Runner: Scorch Trails). It is adapted from the book Maze Runner: The Death Cure written by James Dashner, the director same with the first and second movie it is Wes Ball and the screenplay by T.S. Nowlin. This movie announced will be released at February 17th 2017 in US by 20th Century Fox, but in the middle of making this movie Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) as the main character of this movie got injury in his hand. He must get rest almost two month to get ready continue the acting.
I think rating 7/10 is suitable for the last series of The Maze Runner, not bad or great movie just okay movie. If you following from the first movie, you will be wait and guess it will be a great final series but I hope you are not expect too much to this movie. It is not far from the first and second movie, in the last they still used a same theme is friendship. Maybe it is the special characteristic from The Maze Runner I think, but in this last series they make deeper about friendship to each character. As we know in this movie their problem is to bring Minho (Ki Hong Lee) back to Thomas and the gang (Thomas, Newt, Fry and etc.). Because Minho was kidnapped by WCKD and the person who will be a tryout to find the healing of the virus that attack the world.
The movie starting
with heroic rescue scene to rescued Minho in railway coach, with a brilliant
idea from Thomas and the gang. It is strain scene at opening and you will watch
more surprised and strain scene in this movie. In the first and second movie
there no shooting guns, fight scene or war between the people, but in the last
series we can watch a lot of that and the director add some intense, dramatic
and emotional in that scene. The director success make an epic and anti-climax
ending, in this movie almost every minutes we watch scene that can make us
strain.
This science-fiction
action movie is the best genre categories. As I said before, there a lot of
action, fight scene and shooting guns found in this movie and it’s different
with the first and the second movie of The Maze Runner. For the music and
sound, I think it is good overall because in the science-fiction action movie
we didn’t need too much music, just adding some sound it’s already build the
science-fiction action atmosphere.
Their acting very
mature overall, we can see Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) and Fry (Dexter
Darden) already became an adult now, last time we see both of them still boys
but in this movie they turn into man. Teresa (Kaya Scodelario) can make the
people who watch this movie angry with her characterization. And Thomas (Dylan
O'Brien) as the main character who always act perfectly clear, success make
viewer afraid because at the end he got shoot by Janson (Aidan Gillen), but the
main character is important so they keep him alive in this movie. For more

James Smith Dashner
(born November 26th, 1972) is an American writer of speculative in fiction.
Dashner's books are written for young teens. His work is typically within the
adventure, survival, and science-fiction genres. The Maze Runner, is his most
widely distributed book, reached 100 weeks standing on the New York Times Best
Seller list. The Maze Runner is not the first book series he write there are
still lot of book, such as The 13th Reality series, and The Infinity Ring
series. The director Wes Ball (born October 28th, 1980) is an American film
director, visual effects artist and graphic artist. He graduated in 1999 from
Crescent City Jr./Sr. High School. The Maze Runner is not the first movie that
directed by him, but he is best known for directing The Maze Runner movie in
2014, that based on the James Dashner’s novel. Then, he directing until the
last series of The Maze Runner.
The setting of this
movie is totally different from the first and second movie. If the first movie
we will see labyrinth, the second movie we see an horror and strain atmosphere
that dominated by Crank and in this last movie we almost see the Last City an
isolated city and the crowded of city. From this movie we can learn many
things, but the most valuable from this movie is about the friendship. The
friend cannot leave another friend when they in trouble, like what Thomas and
the gang did. To be a leader don’t be selfish, dictator and greedy just like
what Lawrence (Walton Goggins) did, and still many more.
For the conclusion, I
suggest you to watch but don’t guess the unexpected scene from this movie, from
the plot, the editing effect of the movie, of the climax in the end. But,
overall this is the best ending and to make clear the puzzle from the first
movie. Don’t forget to watch with your partner, friends, family or people who
like and following this movie from the beginning.
